I work for a national menčs magazine, and wečre working on an article linked to the 5th anniversary of the beginning of the Iraq War. We're looking to speak with a group of men and women with a broad range of experience who were on active duty in Iraq at any point from the time the conflict began to the present day. We want to speak with medics, infantrymen, commanders, soldiers who were training Iraqi police, helicopter pilots--any and all types of military personnel who have been there and witnessed the conflict firsthand. Wečre looking for anecdotes, stories of events or images that stuck with you, thoughts on what youčve accomplished--for yourself, for the coalition war effort, and for Iraq--anything and everything youčre willing to share with us about your experiences. Principal Investigator Beatrice A. Golomb, MD, Ph.D is seeking veterans of the 1990-1991 Gulf War with Gulf War Illness*, who live in the San Diego, California area, to participate in a 12-month research study. Participants will receive CoEnzyme Q10, a nutritional supplement, and a placebo, an inactive pill, during alternate periods of their participation in the study. * Gulf War Illness includes symptoms that started during or after Gulf War participation and are present for at least six months.
